Overview

One of my first projects when I joined the Cineplex product design team was re-redesigning the ticketing flow, which had already launched its MVP. With ticket purchasing as the core user goal, I prioritized a modern, intuitive design that simplifies our guests' journies.

One Design System

The visual design of the ticketing flow was redesigned to reflect the aesthetic and UI patterns of the new Cineplex App.

Speed is Key

Currently, guests are scrolling quite a bit to view all the necessary information. What if there was a way to further speed up their ticket purchasing journey?

Refining the Hierarchy

In order to make the experience intuitive and easily digestible, I had to consider the importance of each piece of information for our guests.

Impact

Since launching, the Cineplex app has achieved a rating of 4.9 ★ on the App Store, and 4.8 ★ on the Play Store, proving that our team delivered a best-in-class ticketing experience. The redesigned ticketing flow also reduced time spent by 40% and increased conversion by 3.5% compared to the legacy version.
